With the agitations and protests against the ban on Jallikattu entering the third day today, various organisations have extended support to the protesters.

More than 100 journalists from various media organisations staged a demonstration here.

Extending support to the student community, T. Vellayan, President of Tamil Nadu Traders’ Federation said traders would down shutters tomorrow throughout the State in protest against the ban on the sport.

Film actors and producers have also called for a protest on Friday.

Meanwhile, PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss was arrested in New Delhi today for staging a demonstration in front of the House of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
