Govt. announces job, Rs. 10 lakh solatium for Sreejit’s wife

Kochi: The State Cabinet on Wednesday decided to provide a Government job to wife of Sreejit who died in police custody in Varapuzha here. It also announced a solatium of Rs. 10 lakh to the family.

Reacting to the offer, Sreejit’s wife Akhila held the police responsible for her husband’s death. “It is because of them that me and my children have become orphans,” she said.
