Kochi all set for World U-17 soccer

Kottayam: Security has been beefed up in Kochi for the prestigious FIFA World U-17 football events. Soccer lovers are waiting to witness the rare event with bated breath.

The tournament will be kicked off at National capital New Delhi on Friday.

Owing to security reasons, only 32,000 people, including 29,000 spectators, will be allowed in the Jawaharlal Stadium in Kochi which has a capacity of 41,000.

All tickets have been sold out.

Spain, Niger, North Korea and Brazil will be seen in action here.

There will be six group matches, besides a pre-quarterfinal and a quarterfinal match in Kochi. The other venues are Bengaluru, Goa, Guwahati, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune
